Melbourne: Day 6

One of my best days in Melbourne so far. My friend and I decided to take a train to Chadstone Shopping Centre and it was so awesome! Apparently it is the largest mall in the southern hemisphere. The mall had everything. Lots of food and designer stores. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven! I finally got to check out the Shanghai-Paris Chanel collection which was awesome. Very beautiful. We went into Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Prada and Miu Miu etc. I bought the cutest Miu Miu cat pin ever. The cat pin is from the Miu Miu Spring 2010 runway show. It comes in three colours: pink, white and blue but I bought it in white as it will match with most of my clothing. My assistant at Miu Miu was so lovely. She was so bubbly and friendly. My friend and I just thought she was so cute!

Outside Miu Miu. Definately my favourite store!
Outfit: Equip headband, Living Doll jacket, Karen Walker t-shirt, Lee jeans, Louis Vuitton bag and Converse shoes.

Peace Out!

Melbourne: Day 4 and Day 5

Day 4 (yesterday) was pretty boring. Kinda woke up late so just randomly walked around Melbourne central. Today however was pretty awesome. I went to the Tim Burton Exhibition at ACMI. The line to get in was ridiculous. My friend and I waited for about 40 minutes to get in. Though we waited ages it was definately worth the wait. Everything Tim Burton was in the exhibition, from Edward Scissor Hands costume to Alice's dress. I will up load all the wonderful pictures I took of the exhibition when I get home to New Zealand in a weeks time. Tim Burton is a creative genius. Lots of his private sketches and art are on display. I absolutely adore his art. I think most of his pictures are disturbed but there's an underlying happiness in all of them. If you're in Melbourne or planning on going to Melbourne before October 10 (that's when the exhibition ends), then you should check it out.

Outside ACMI. I've kinda tried to dress Burtonesque for the occasion.
Outfit: Karen Walker badge, Vintage cardigan, Karen Walker t-shirt, Ignite pants, mimi shoes and Guess bag.

Peace Out!

Melbourne: Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3

Have been meaning to post sooner but had some internet issues on the first day and way too tired. I am so far enjoying Melbourne. It is just so new and exciting. Lots of shops and museums which I love. I arrived in Melbourne on wednesday night, so I just spent my time sleeping. The second day the spent the day just exploring the city and visiting the Victorian Markets. It was pretty awesome but the only thing that bugged me was the people selling fake designer handbags. Ewww! Anyways I really wanted to go there for fruit. Man it was a mission finding good apples. Nothing can compare to New Zealand apples but there is not such thing as NZ apples in OZ as they don't import NZ apples ever. My friend and I finally found some decent apples but they weren't very crisp. Oh well I can survive without apples for 8 more days. Stayed in town pretty late as I went to see Tim Burton being interviewed outside the ACMI building. His exhibition is being shown there. Freaking awesome interview but ridiculous crowd. I was also tired on day 2 as I stayed up watching the football. I had to support the All Whites. It was a must win game but it wasn't meant to be. They did NZ proud! Well day 3 (yesterday) was just more town exploring and my friend and I went to this awesome Chinese restaurant and had heaps of dumplings. Can't actually remember the name. Chinatown was awesome and we finally found a grocery shop. We were dying for noodles. The day ended pretty crap as it started to rain pretty hard and we didn't have an umbrella and got completely drenched!

Inside ACMI. I have no idea what the thing behind me is called but it is part of the Tim Burton exhibition.
Outfit: Just Jeans scarf, MINKPINK shirt, Just Jeans jacket, Lee jeans, Converse chucks and Guess bag.

Peace Out!

All Whites Rule!

Everyone in New Zealand is crazy about football right now. Last nights, actually really early this morning, 2am to be precise, the All Whites gave New Zealand a game to never forget. Though the game ended in a 1-1 draw against the Italians, it felt like a win as no one even gave them a chance. The All Whites so should have won. The ref was terrible and the Italians kept on doing Hollywoods which was so cheap. Anyways if the All Whites win their next game against Paraguay they will make it to the last 16 which will be so awesome. I will be in Australia by then so will have to probably find a bar to watch the game.

Peace and Heart

Wish List Wednesday: Alexander McQueen Skull-print cotton T-shirt

I love the print on this T-shirt. It is sweet and dark at the same time. The contrast of the rose petals mixed with the classic McQueen skull is so beautiful. I want is so bad but it is over $350!

The Naked and Famous

My new favourite Kiwi band. They're currently an unsigned band but they will probably be signed soon to a major label. I am loving their song "Young Blood" which is currently the most downloaded song on itunes NZ.  Check them out here on their myspace. Enjoy!
